Courage California adds nine candidate endorsements to its progressive slate – totaling twenty-three – for the 2022 General Election
Los Angeles — Courage California announced the endorsements of eight (8) legislative candidates, and one regional, a month ahead of the 2022 General Election.
The endorsements, listed below, expands Courage California’s 2022 progressive slate to twenty-three (23), which now includes state, legislator, mayoral, and district attorney candidates.
Announced 2022 General Election candidates include:
- State Senate District 4: Tim Robertson
- State Senate District 6: Paula Villescaz
- State Senate District 38: Catherine Blakespear
- State Senate District 40: Joseph Rocha
- Assembly District 22: Jessica Self
- Assembly District 47: Christy Holstege
- Assembly District 60: Corey Jackson
- Assembly District 63: Fauzia Rizvi
- Alameda County District Attorney: Pamela Price

Courage California works with local and statewide partners to identify priority races, screens candidates based on their top issues, approach to passing progressive policies, and record of governance and leadership.
TIM ROBERTSON
Tim Robertson will build on a strong track record as a labor leader to champion working families and bring more funding and solutions into this vast district as a State Senator.
PAULA VILLESCAZ
Paula Villescaz is a longtime advocate and community leader whose experience will give her a unique ability to address complex issues and navigate politics to pass important policies for her constituents.
CATHERINE BLAKESPEAR
Catherine Blakespear’s leadership on addressing local San Diego issues gives her a strong foundation to tackle big statewide problems with the meaningful policies we need in the State Senate.
JOSEPH ROCHA
Joseph Rocha brings a dedication to public service and uplifting working families and veterans that would change how San Diegans are represented in Sacramento – for progress, not for personal power.
JESSICA SELF
Jessica Self has been working in the Central Valley to bring people to the table to work on solutions and elect leaders who better represent the district. She’s a frontline advocate for families who will champion her constituents and expand representation for her communities in Sacramento.
CHRISTY HOLSTEGE
Christy Holstege is an effective and progressive leader whose record on getting real results for her constituents will be critical in strengthening community governance in Sacramento.
COREY JACKSON
Corey Jackson’s experience as a courageous community advocate and organizer will be key to moving elected leaders on the solutions we need from our state legislature and shift political power back to the people of Assembly District 60 and California.
FAUZIA RIZVI
Fauzia Rizvi’s commitment to fighting for her community will mean that the constituents of Assembly District 63 will have a champion in Sacramento focused on addressing housing, water, environmental protections, and education.
PAMELA PRICE
Alameda County has a long history of being at the forefront of social justice reform and change.Pamela Price is the only District Attorney candidate with deep community roots and an advocacy track record that will bring the needed leadership to shape the office and reflect the residents of the County. Her dedication to protecting reproductive rights and LGBTQ+ communities, fighting for victims of crime and systems impacted people, and holding police accountable are what Alameda County communities are looking for in a new DA.
Courage California is dedicated to supporting and electing candidates who will actively champion our issues and communities, especially in the face of corporations and special interests and the inertia of a political system that doesn’t always serve our people well.
