Twitter Stands with Koch Brothers, Censors @NewsByTheKochs Parody Avatar
CourageCampaign.org Fights Back with New Avatar – BANNED!
CALIFORNIA – This weekend, Twitter removed the avatar image from CourageCampaign.org’s @NewsByTheKochs twitter account after Koch Industries Inc.’s deputy general counsel Raffaele Fazio requested the take-down. After the takedown, CourageCampaign.org is fighting back with a new avatar image, “Banned!: The Koch Brothers don’t want you to see this.”

The @NewsByTheKoch’s twitter account was created by CourageCampaign.org in conjunction with their campaign urging the Tribune Company not to sell The Los Angeles Times or any of their other papers to the Koch Brothers.
“Over the weekend, the Koch Brothers banned our Avatar on Twitter,” explained Rick Jacobs, founder and chair of CourageCampaign.org. “It’s hard to imagine what the Koch Brothers won’t ban after they have acquired the biggest paper in California and the fourth largest in the nation. The Koch Brothers want the Los Angeles Times so they can set the debate and determine the outcomes, not to cover the legitimate news of the day from in an objective way.”
