30k Demand CA GOP Leader Greig Resign Over Rape Comments
Courage Campaign To Deliver Petition to CA GOP HQ in Los Angeles on Monday

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – Last week, Celeste Greig, head of the California Republican Assembly, told the media that pregnancies by rape are rare “because it’s an act of violence, because the body is traumatized.” Ironically, this was said in an attempt by Greig to criticize former Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin for his comments last fall about “legitimate rape.” After hearing about Greig’s offensive comments on rape and pregnancy, the California-based Courage Campaign started a petition on SignOn, demanding Greig resign immediately. More than 30,000 Californians have signed Courage Campaign’s petition in the last week.

On Monday, March 11th, Courage Campaign members will deliver the petition to the California Republican Party HQ’s in Burbank demanding Greig’s resignation. Petition signers are asking CA GOP Chairman Jim Brulte to disavow Greig’s comments and demand her resignation.

WHAT: Delivering over 30,000 signatures demanding the resignation of California Republican Assembly leader Celeste Greig due to her offensive rape comments.
