MONDAY 11:45AM: Local Activists Dressed in Santa Claus Suits To Hand Out Coal At Brea Mall Slamming Rep. Ed Royce for Support of GOP Tax Bill

Brea, CA — On Monday, December 4th, local constituents and members of the the California-based Courage Campaign will dress up in Santa suits, highlighting Rep. Ed Royce’s “bad behavior” by handing out coal and candy canes outside of the Brea Mall to mall-goers, targeting Royce for his support for the GOP tax measure, which experts estimate will raise taxes on many low and middle income constituents in Royce’s district.

California is among several states that would experience an increase in federal income taxes under the approved GOP tax plan. The measure would push to further limit the state and local tax deduction and mortgage interest deduction, which could have a severe impact on local Californian communities’ housing costs.
