Courage Campaign: Devin Nunes is an ‘Embarrassment to California’; It is Time For Voters To Do The Nation A Huge Service And Retire Nunes This November

100,000 Demand Nunes Immediately Resign as House Intelligence Committee Chair

Statement from Eddie Kurtz, Executive Director of the California-based Courage Campaign, on Rep. Devin Nunes:

“Devin Nunes is an embarrassment for California. Instead of living up to his oath of office, he has become a stooge for Donald Trump.

“It is now clearer than ever that Nunes is not seeking the truth or using his wide investigatory powers to figure how a foreign government sought to influence our elections in a historic breach that reached the cornerstone of our democracy — free and fair elections. Instead, Nunes is using his taxpayer funded committee as a cover up operation for Donald Trump and his Administration. Through partisan tactics, selective leaking, deception, and stone walling Nunes is using the House Intelligence Committee as a tool in Trump’s campaign of deception. Nunes is doing nothing more than enabling Trump’s obstruction. It is shameful, outrageous, and exceedingly dangerous.

“It is time for Californians to do our state, and the nation, a huge service and retire Nunes this November.”

More than 100,000 people have signed onto Courage Campaign’s petition calling on Nunes to resign as the House Intelligence Committee chairman.
