Courage Campaign on Cuts to the Affordable Care Act Outreach and Education Programs

Yesterday, President Trump announced massive cuts to outreach and education programs for the Affordable Care Act. In response to the decision, Eddie Kurtz, executive director of the California-based Courage Campaign issued the following statement:

“President Trump is trying to sabotage the Affordable Care Act — and by extension, the health care that millions of Americans rely upon — for partisan political purposes. Americans stopped the president and Republicans from repealing the Affordable Care Act, so now they’re focused on a strategy of death by a thousand cuts, eliminating the education and outreach to uninsured populations that has been vital to the program’s historic success. But the American people know better. If the Affordable Care Act collapses under President Trump, it will be for one reason, and one reason only: Trump’s anger, spite and sabotage.”
