On Wednesday, December 2nd, NARAL Pro-Choice America, CREDO Action, UltraViolet and Courage Campaign will host a press call to discuss the campaign demanding that the Department of Justice direct the FBI to investigate recent attacks on Planned Parenthood clinics as what they are: acts of domestic terrorism. The petition has garnered over 300,000 signatures from activists with NARAL Pro-Choice America, CREDO, UltraViolet, and Courage Campaign, and the letter, which was sent less than 48 hours before the attack in Colorado Springs, is backed by over 140 groups and abortion providers.

In the recent letter to Attorney General Lynch, the groups state: “We, the undersigned, urge the Department of Justice to investigate the recent attacks on reproductive- health clinics using all appropriate federal statutes, including domestic terrorism. Since the release of the first deceptively edited video from the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) intended to vilify Planned Parenthood, and, by proxy, all abortion providers, anti-choice extremists have launched an unprecedented and multi-pronged assault against women’s reproductive rights.”
