It’s a disgrace that any of our country’s elected leaders would do anything other than speak out and wholeheartedly disavow the violence stirred up by Trump’s hate and bigotry, especially those who represent California — the most diverse state in the nation. The fact that House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and other GOP leaders are trying to put a positive spin on Trump is not only irresponsible and out of touch, it’s dangerous.
