Trumpcare would take health insurance away from 23 million people, destroy Medicaid, defund Planned Parenthood, increase premiums for seniors, force low-income people to go without care, and punish those with pre-existing conditions. Yet Senate Republicans continue to keep the bill hidden while pushing for a vote that could destroy millions of lives.
Senate Democrats have strategies available to them to fight this bill, and have begun to do so. However, we need to ensure that their efforts are not simply a media stunt.
