The Courage We Need for 2021, and Beyond

Courage California

New Year, New Look, Same Courageous Fight for a More Equitable California

Courage California is proud to unveil its new website and domain: couragecalifornia.org. The new website comes a year after Courage California changed its name from Courage Campaign to better reflect the work the group does up and down the state of California. Couragecalifornia.org is easy to navigate and use — and reflects the organization’s new leadership and its path forward in working to build a state — and country — that is more equitable, just, and representative of the people it serves.

In the new year, Courage California will work to address the issues its 1.4 million members identified as priorities. From combating climate chaos, to advocating for healthcare for all, ending police brutality, and getting corporate and special interest money out of politics. The organization’s work is driven by its members and partnerships throughout the state; and the new website will allow Courage California to more effectively organize its members and partners to call out institutional corruption and oppression, improve coordination and collaboration between progressive organizations, and demands that state and local representatives be accountable to and reflective of the Californians they seek to serve.

“Courage California’s work depends on our members and the ability for us to communicate and activate them efficiently and effectively, which is why I’m so excited to kick off the year with a new website that reflects that,” said Irene Kao, Courage California’s Executive Director. “With our new website and the support and engagement of our members, Courage California is ready for the next chapter of work. With Courage, we can fight together for a government and country that works for us all. And our new website will allow us to be more effective in reaching that goal.”

Furthermore, the new website highlights the two flagship products of Courage California: Courage Score and the Progressive Voter Guide. In addition, the website includes an “Engage” hub, where members can find a regularly updated blog on California politics, learn of a variety of actions they can take, as well as access additional resources Courage California regularly produces.

Courage California, formerly Courage Campaign, works to unite communities organizing for progressive change, fight the forces of corruption, and hold our representatives to account in order to ensure that California’s elected officials act with courage. Our community of members envision California as a model of progressive, equitable, and truly representative democracy that sets the standard for our country.
