TMRW: Activists Rally to Save the LA Times at Paper’s Los Angeles HQ

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – On Wednesday, May 29th, as part of a national day of action to save the Tribune Company’s newspapers from the Koch Brothers, members of joined by members of SEIU, Common Cause, Greenpeace, and the AFL-CIO will rally at the LA Times Headquarters in Los Angeles.  Activists will deliver nearly 500,000 signatures to the Tribune Co. urging the LA Times to reject any attempt to turn the paper into a mouthpiece for right-wing billionaires.

WHO:  Members of, SEIU, Common Cause, Greenpeace and the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor.

WHEN:  Wednesday, May 29th.  12:00pm noon PT.

WHERE: LA Times HQ. 1st and Spring Streets.  Los Angeles, California


The rally and petition delivery to the LA Times HQ’s in Los Angeles is just one of 12 other events as part of the National Day of Action to Save Our News” targeting Tribune Company newspapers in cities around the country.   Events will also be held in New York (NY), Chicago (IL), Hartford (CT), Fort Lauderdale (FL), Baltimore (MD), Philadelphia (PA), Washington (DC), Houston (TX), Boston (MA) and Denver (CO).
