Poll: Many California voters get their info from social media, even if they don’t trust it

Where are Californians getting their news?

Los Angeles Times, June 18, 2024

A full third of Californians are getting their election-related news on social media, especially Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok, according to a study cited in this new LA Times article.

This is bad news, considering that misinformation on social media is rampant. But the good news is that 58% of voters are looking at official voter guides for information, too. And Courage California’s Voter Guide is a great place to start!
